Overview

In a crowded space and seemingly saturated market, Ramzy Ride was born out of a need to design a transportation service that passed more value on to driver owners whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards for riders. In addition to getting paid per ride, Ramzy drivers share in a pool of quarterly dividends from company profits. This makes for meaning ride-sharing requests as who you choose to ride with can make a difference in someone else’s journey.

The mark

Creating a sense of movement and direction, standing strongly on its own. We wanted to incorporate the idea of a journey from “pick up to destination.” Roads, infinite highways and the journey taken were the foundations of the mark. We included the location pin into the end of the mark to complete the journey.

 

The logotype

The logotype with the use of caps helps create a punchy and bold yet approachable logo. The chat icon snuck into the type promotes the idea of two-way communication between passenger and driver. Easily recognisable from any distance.  

Thinking behind the UI

Research, prototyping, testing, repeat.

We understood the market was saturated and also run by big monopoly players, but felt there was room for improvement. We did extensive workshops focusing on what was missing and how one could better the entire workflow.

Passenger App

A clean, easy to use interface backed by user research formed the foundations of the design. Keeping things familiar with how e-hailing apps operate currently, but improving the user experience throughout.

Drivers App

The drivers want to be able to get online with ease and be able to track their daily, weekly or monthly earnings  with a click of a button.

Everything needed to be one click away for the safety of the driver and their passenger. A bottom navigation was designed for that exact reason. Letting the driver accept fares, track their earnings, view their ratings or dive deeper in the account section.

Admin Dashboard

Each driver and rider profile is loaded onto the platform which consolidates the information and  houses it under one roof. Tools were designed and developed to collect demographic data, driver and rider trips, reviews and finances.
